Summer is right around the corner, and we’re excited to announce that registration for the 2025 Bunger Surf Camp at Gilgo Beach is now open! Whether your child is a first-time surfer or looking to build their skills, our surf camp is the perfect way for them to gain confidence in the ocean, learn to surf, and create unforgettable summer memories.
Flexible Camp Options to Fit Your Schedule
We understand that families have busy summers, so we offer flexible options to fit your needs:
- Three-Day Surf Camp: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Two-Day Surf Camp: Thursday and Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Five-Day Surf Camp: Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
All sessions meet at the Bunger Surf Rental Shack at Gilgo Beach in Babylon, NY. The nine week surf camp runs from June 26th to August 29th – the start and end dates depend on the program selected.
What to Expect at Bunger Surf Camp
Our camp is designed to teach kids how to surf and, more importantly, how to safely navigate and respect the ocean. We emphasize ocean awareness, water safety, and the fundamentals of surfing, giving campers a well-rounded understanding of this incredible sport.
With most of our instructors being CPR-certified and experienced in surfing, swimming, and lifeguarding, parents can rest easy knowing their children are in good hands.
Campers will enjoy hands-on instruction tailored to their skill levels, small group sessions to ensure individual attention, and the chance to bond with other young surfers while enjoying the beautiful setting of Gilgo Beach.
